Thousands of young people have blood that doesn’t clot properly. This can make life more of a challenge. SixVibe is here to help people help each other by sharing experience and tips. It is a social network, an information source and a fun place to hang out.

JJ's story
JJ is 21 years old and has mild haemophilia identified when he started secondary school. He is treated on demand with factor 8 and DDAVP. JJ loves keeping fit, which he does mostly at the gym, though he’s also a keen runner.
Seb's story
Seb is 14 and just thinking about his GCSE options. He loves football – he’s a season ticket holder at Leicester City and also loves to play football himself. Seb has type 3 vWD diagnosed after a fall as a young child.
Usman's story
Usman is a 16-year-old boy with severe haemophilia identified when he was a child in Africa. He has never received prophylaxis and has target joints as a result of many bleeds. Usman recently moved to London with his family.
Emma's story
Emma is 16 years old and found out she suffered from type 2 vWD two years ago when her periods started. She is treated with plasma concentrates and occasional DDAVP. Emma lives with her parents and two younger brothers on the Wirral and is studying for her GCSEs.
Trisha's story
Trisha is a 12 year old girl who was found to have type 1 vWD when she had surgery aged 7. She is treated with plasma concentrates or desmopressin as needed. Trisha lives with her Mum, Dad and older sister. She loves netball and plays for her school in the local school league
Chris's story
Chris is 15 years old and has severe haemophilia, diagnosed at the age of 2, and is on regular prophylaxis. He loves reading and playing chess, and hopes to study maths at university. Chris lives at home with his younger sister, Rachel, and his mother.
Nathan's story
Nathan is 11 and is due to go to secondary school in September. He is very creative and loves anything to do with art and music – he prefers playing his guitar to doing any sports. Nathan was diagnosed as a baby with severe haemophilia as his Mum is a carrier.
Samie's story
Samie is a 9-year-old boy with severe haemophilia. He lives with his older sister and parents, who are both teachers. He rarely goes anywhere without his skateboard (except to school!) Samie sometimes forgets to take his prophylaxis, and sometimes gets a bruise or some pain in his ankle
